What is Laser Lipolysis?
Dr. Serrao performs Laser Lipolysis for patients in the Orlando area to rapidly dissolve fat and tighten the surrounding skin almost anywhere in the body. Now FDA-approved, this revolutionary and minimally invasive procedure uses a laser to offer less bleeding, swelling and bruising and a quicker recovery time than conventional liposuction.
Local anesthesia is given to the area by the tumescent technique, and then the procedure is performed with a small cannula containing a laser fiber that when moved back and forth, emits laser energy to dissolve fat and tighten the surrounding skin. Using this highly developed and tested laser technology, Laser Lipolysis breaks down fat cells and reduces them to an oily substance which can be easily absorbed and expelled naturally by the patient's body, leaving the treated area slimmer, more defined and pleasing to the eye. The treatment is non-invasive and does not inflict vast amounts of pain to those undergoing it, therefore making it far more appealing than traditional Liposuction, which is often viewed as a fairly aggressive procedure.
How does Laser Lipolysis differ from liposuction?
Laser Lipolysis adds a "skin tightening" element to a liposuction procedure. It stimulates the production of collagen and breaks up dimples. Laser Lipolysis uses smaller instruments and laser technology. It is a more efficient method of removing fat from small areas of the face, neck, arms, and abdomen and areas where the skin is lax. Laser Lipolysis causes less bleeding, bruising and swelling, which results in a faster recovery. Laser Lipolysis is often combined with traditional liposuction. In most instances this is a two-step procedure that only requires local anesthesia.
What areas can be treated by Laser Lipolysis?
The most common areas that Laser Lipolysis is applied to are the chin, cheeks, neck, arms, tummy, love handles, the bottom, the inner and outer thighs and also on males who are experiencing breasts which are larger than normal. Generally, the Laser Lipo procedure can be used to combat most areas with small amounts of excess fat.
How long does it take to see the results of Laser Lipolysis?
Most Laser Lipo patients start seeing significant improvements within a few weeks and the true benefits of the procedure are seen in up to 4 months. Results are permanent as the body does not create new fat cells, and should you experience some weight gain in the future the fat would tend to be distributed elsewhere.
Is Laser Lipolysis suitable for anybody?
The Laser Lipo fat reduction treatment is ideal for candidates who are not obese or excessively overweight. Individuals who are of a fairly average weight but who have specific areas of stubborn fat, such as double chins, love handles and areas of fat on the arms, tend to respond far more positively to the Laser Lipo procedure. You need to have realistic expectations, realizing that laser lipolysis is not a substitute for diet and excercise.
How are the benefits of Laser Lipolysis measured?
Cosmetically speaking, successful treatment is measured in inches rather than pounds. The weight removed is not as important as the improvement in your body's contour. Most important is your improved self-image and self acceptance.
Is the fat removal permanent?
The fat removal is permanent. Should you gain weight, the fat will return to the areas not treated with the laser. For best results, maintain a healthy diet and exercise program.
How many treatments are required?
Laser Lipolysis can take 20 minutes on the neck and several hours on larger areas. Most patients have only one treatment. However, a touch up treatment may be required in some patients.
What is the cost of Laser Lipolysis?
The cost of Laser Lipo will vary from one person to the next and is dependent on the number of sessions required & the size of the area being treated. Following an initial consultation at the Aesthetic Clinique, we will be able to provide you with an accurate quote for your treatment and our specialists will be in a position to give you one-to-one advice and support.
What Type of Results can I Expect from Laser Lipolysis?
You can expect to have a body that is more contoured in a matter of hours with little or no downtime. We deliver results that you will be happy with and results that we can be proud of!
